I never tire of having the opportunity of photographing some magnificent large and small cats in the conservancy. When I have quiet moments I get in the car and travel the short distance to the cats and enjoy the calmness of the surroundings and the majesty of the cats.
We are all aware that the habitat of the cats are disappearing in many countries and the human population encroaches on the animal's territory.
Where this is going to lead we are unsure but for many of the cats their hope lies with conservancies and endangered species programs who take the cats in and at some point in the future if they are able to re-introduced to the wild.
In the past I have shown on my pages Tigers, Lions, Cheetahs and some of the other cats but month after month I have the wonderful opportunity of photographing Snow Leopard, Bob Cat, Amur Leopard (very rare in the wild), Caracal, Serval, Clouded Leopard (shy, elusive and nocturnal). These cats as well as Lynx, Geoffroy's cat, Jaguar and Pallas' cat. This makes my day but some are so shy or camouflaged that I did not get the right photograph or in the case of Pallas cat no photos at all (again). Some of the cats here have passed on in the last 12 months.
These photos were taken at the Cat Survival Trust a wonderful animal conservancy. We are pleased to have had this opportunity and hope as always that you enjoy the pictures and maybe visit their website or become a member.
